Transparent, flexible pricing for manual driving lessons in my 2025 Ford Focus ST-Line X. Covering Dronfield, Chesterfield & Sheffield.
The DVSA states that the average learner requires around 45 hours of professional tuition and 22 hours of private practice.
Everyone learns differently — some progress faster, some slower, and not everyone has access to a private car. This means predicting a total number of hours is impossible, but I always provide honest guidance as you go.
I'm as flexible as possible with scheduling, and I’m always happy to discuss the best approach for you.
Standard lesson rate: £38 per hour, with 2-hour lessons recommended for the best value and progress.
Only book your driving test through the official DVSA website. Third-party cancellation apps can move or cancel tests without warning.
If I'm your instructor, a test appointment is charged at my normal rate of £38 per hour for a 2-hour slot. I’ll collect you one hour before the test for warm-up driving and final preparation.
If you’re not already learning with me, I will require at least a 2-hour assessment lesson before considering test-day support.
If the DVSA cancels your test at the last minute, I still need to charge for my time — but I will guide you on how to request reimbursement from the DVSA.
Lessons are normally 2 hours, as this gives learners the best value and steady progress.
I am only able to offer evening lessons, not weekends — availability varies week to week, but I always aim to be flexible around work, school, or college schedules.
Sometimes. It depends on your preferred days/times, but I’ll always be clear about my current availability when you enquire.
No — all lessons and test-day bookings are charged at my standard hourly rate.
Yes — if requested. It can be helpful for private practice, and I’m happy to talk through what we’re working on.
Payment is due when a lesson is booked. Payment by bank transfer is preferred.
I just ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel — late cancellations may be charged, but I always use common sense in real emergencies.
